The best thing about Himasha Guest in Mirissa is the rooms. They have balconies with beautiful garden views. I felt so relaxed sitting out there and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The rooms are also equipped with electric kettles, which made it convenient for me to make coffee in the morning. I loved the cozy seating area in the triple room as well. It felt like a little home away from home.
The only thing that I didn't particularly like was that some rooms have soundproofing. Personally, I enjoy hearing the sounds of nature and the ocean so it wasn't really a big issue for me.

I had such a great stay at this guesthouse! The value for my money was excellent and the room was really comfortable. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the main beach and close to beautiful sunset spots. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home.
Hotel breakfast could have been better with a wider variety of options.

The decor of Himasha Guest was absolutely charming! The main areas had a cozy and welcoming feel, with beautiful local artwork and traditional Sri Lankan touches. It created a warm and homely atmosphere, which I really enjoyed. As a senior woman, I appreciated how accessible the hotel was. The pathways were well-maintained and clear, making it easy for me to navigate around the property without any difficulties.
I would have appreciated a more visible staff presence. The children working there were friendly and helpful, but at times it would have been nice to have someone readily available to address any questions or concerns that I had.

Our stay at Himasha Guest was incredible. The family running the guesthouse went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They even offered us a free room for an extra day when our flight got delayed, showing their unmatched hospitality. The husband not only gave us complimentary rides to the beach but also accompanied us to the bus station to ensure we caught the right bus. The wife took care of our laundry and the kids were friendly and polite. The room itself was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious and the family even treated us to a homemade curry as a thank you gesture. Despite a small walk to the beach, the guesthouse's location was convenient with restaurants and shops nearby. we highly recommend Himasha Guest.

I recently stayed at a guesthouse in Sri Lanka and it quickly became my favorite. The owners were incredibly sweet and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. They provided free juices and fruits upon arrival, as well as mosquito repellent for outdoor relaxation. The breakfast served was delicious and they even offered free rides to the beach. The room was new, clean, and well-equipped with necessary amenities. Additionally, they arranged a fantastic whale watching experience for me at a discounted rate. The location was convenient with a bus stop across the road and the beach within walking distance. I highly recommend this place for its hospitality, service, and comfort.
I do recommend this hotel.

The rooms at Himasha Guest in Mirissa are simply amazing. Each room comes with a balcony that offers a beautiful view of the garden. As a vegetarian/vegan, I loved having my morning cup of tea on the balcony, surrounded by nature.
While everything about the rooms was perfect, I personally didn't find the soundproofing in the single room to be sufficient. It's just my opinion though, others may not mind it.
